Crosstown Maps

The Crosstown Bicycle Route Map was developed to help riders enjoy getting around the metropolitan Lansing area while avoiding the busiest roads as much as possible. Although the target group was beginners and those not familiar with the area, it has proved to be useful to many others.

Dick Janson was responsible for route selection, test riding, product development and promotion. The Tri-County Regional Planning Commission helped with initial encoding, facilitated use of the underlying street map, and coordinated and communicated with commissions and government. Joe Adams made the details visually pleasing in an electronic version for the printer. Ed Noonan programmed the Web pages.

The Crosstown Bicycle Route Map has been made available for free at all local bike shops, libraries, and other locations. If those places are not convenient, send a request to CrosstownMap@biketcba.org and one will be sent to you.
